Please note that we run our own 'on site' data centres. This means you can be sure that you are dealing direct with a company who supplies the whole service rather than a reseller/middle man leasing server space in someone else's data centre.

Each full rack option comes with either 400GB/10MB/s Bandwidth or 2MB/s Transit included in the price. Various other data transfer and transit options are available.

Although we currently have limited availability for rack space we are currently building a small extended suite of 1000mm deep racks with 2 x 16amp supplies to each rack (ie 32 amps in total) at our Northampton primary data centre. The rack specification and the under floor DX air conditioning systems are being designed to cope with the heat generated by this amount of power and this suite should be available at the end of January 2008. Note that COLO space is still available and some existing 800mm and 900mm customers wish to transfer which will result in availability for other size racks as well.

NB: We are also currently building a new data centre in Milton keynes which we hope to have available around March/April 2008.

 

* Additional resources can be added to any Rackspace option at the following rates:

A certain amount of amps are included in the base price but up to 32 amps (2 x 16amps feeds) per rack can be supported as standard and provisions for more can be arranged if required.

New Dell servers for COLO customers.
New Dell servers can usually be purchased from us at the normal retail price.
Included in this price we will install the O/S and also include an hour of an engineers time to help set up anything you need.
This is available to COLO/Rackspace customers only.

What is Rack Space?
Very much the same as colo (above) but instead of one or two single servers, a certain amount of the complete rack* is leased. Either a half rack (minimum 22u) or a complete rack (minimum 44u) is available.

*In data centres servers are normally stored in tall metal racks which are normally around 19" wide by around 7' tall, this is known as 'rackspace'.
