Connect to any compatible 'Windows' computer that has the administrator program running on it, to view or remotely control the desktop at an incredible speed over a LAN. Compared with other such programs, this program is amazingly small and fast. It works over both a dial-up connection and on a network, that uses the TCP/IP protocol. Over a busy LAN, the fast response from the remote PC almost creates the illusion that you're sitting in front of the server, even when using full window dragging. You can create shortcut icons for frequently used addresses and even use the built-in Telnet client to connect to the host. It can be run as a Windows service so that it starts up automatically and invisibly. Conversely, it can be set up to be run manually.

Much, much faster than PC Anywhere!

You see the remote computer screen displayed either in a window, or full screen on your computer monitor. All mouse and keyboard functions are transferred to the remote computer. You can work with the remote computer as if you are sitting in front of it. It's really REALLY FAST! So buckle up and enjoy the ride! It starts "right here".

The remote computer can be located anywhere in the Internet or local area network. When using Radmin, you don't need a fast network connection to work with the remote computer . Even if you are connected via MODEM, you can reach the reasonable screen update speed (about 5-10 screen updates per second).

If you are connected to a LAN you can reach real-time update speeds of about 100 - 500 screen updates per second. This can be adjusted up or down to save bandwidth.

Sometimes, if you use Radmin in a full-screen mode, you may forget that you are working on a REMOTE computer! So FASTEN your Seat Belt!

Radmin is also very SECURE and RELIABLE software. It can work weeks and months without any exceptions.

When in the "Full control" mode you can do on the remote computer what you like - transfer files to and fro, shutdown or logoff it, etc.

Radmin Structure

Radmin consists of two parts:

1. The server, which generates a display.
2. The client (viewer), which actually draws the display on your screen.

So, to get started with Radmin you must run a server, and then get connected with it through a client (viewer).

Current version of Radmin requires a TCP/IP connection between the server and the viewer.

What Makes It Different From Other Systems?

• The speed : All other remote control systems work much more slowly than Radmin. For example, when we tested a famous program that is widely used, the VNC (Virtual Network Computing, AT&T product), we found out that Radmin works 150 times (!!!) faster than the VNC does.
  Also, Remote Administrator outperforms other remote control systems (pcANYWHERE, Timbuktu, Remote Control, LapLink).
• The functionality : We are permanently implementing new features. We've added the file transfer feature with 'Explorer' like interface, NT security support, Multilanguage, Telnet support, remote shutdown, remote screen scaling etc. Thus we hope to make Radmin suitable for different situations.
• The speed test was performed on this configuration:
  Server: 800 X 600 65535 colors, OS - WindowsNT 4.0 Service pack 4
  Client: 800 X 600 256 colors, OS - Windows95
  Ethernet 10Mbit local network.
  Tests:
  Dragging an icon over desktop (the distance between the real cursor and the remote icon dragged).
  Window with some image minimizing and maximizing time (time needed to show the maximized window).
