Set Up Guides - AceFTP
The following is a rough guide to uploading files to our server using AceFTP (version 3 pro).
Please not that we do not directly support this program, the guide is here to assist you in uploading to our servers. If you encounter any problems with the AceFTP software you should contact its publishers directly.
Step 1.
From the menu select 'File' then 'Connect' to open the 'Site Profiles - Sites' window.
Then doubel click on the 'New Site Profile' link.
Step 2.
1. Descriptive name - can be anything, enter a name which will help you to identify the connection later.
2. 3. 4. - Server, User ID, Password - this information can be found in your hosting Admin Panel.
Click 'Next'
Step 3.
Click on the folder icon, and browse to the location of your website files on your local computer.
Enter the host folder (aka FTP initial directory), this can be found in your hosting Admin Panel.

Click 'Finish'
Step 4.
Right click on the profile you have just set up and click on 'Properties'.
1. Click on 'Transfers' in the left hand menu.
2. Select the box 'Use incoming (PORT) connections'.
(Note you may have to deselect the 'Use property class defaul values' box first)
Click 'OK'
Double click on the profile you have just set up.
Step 5.
You should now be connected to the FTP server.
To upload files, simply Drag and Drpo files from your local machine (left hand panel) to the FTP server (right hand panel). You can monitor progress by viewing the Log Window (top panel). To download files to your local computer, Drag and Drop them from the right hand panel to the left hand panel.
