The following is a rough guide to uploading files to our server using AceFTP (version 3 pro).

Please note that we do not support or recommend this program. This guide is designed as a rough guide to assist you in uploading to our servers. Click here to visit their site.

STEP ONE

From the top menu select [File] then [Connect] to open the 'Site Profiles - Sites' window.

Then double click the [New Site Profile] link.

STEP TWO

1. descriptive name Can be any it is just to give it a name.
2. FTP Server as per settings supplied from host-it.
3. FTP site UserID as per settings supplied from host-it.
4. FTP Password as per settings supplied from host-it.

Select [Next >]

Then enter the path to your local folder in the top box
(where you store your webfiles on your local machine)

Enter the host folder (aka FTP initial directory) as supplied by host-it.
(Normally this will be the same as your web site url)

Click [Finish]

STEP THREE

Right click the profile you have just set up and select [Properties]

1. Select the Transfers option from the left menu.
2. Select the box 'Use incoming (PORT) connections'
(Note you may have to deselect the 'Use property class default values' box first)

Click [ok]

Double click the profile you have just set up.

STEP FOUR

You should now be connected.

To upload files, simply Drag & Drop files from your local machine to your internet site, you can monitor its process by using the log window. To download files, Drag & Drop files from the Connection window to your local machine you can also use the arrows.
