CUTE FTP INSTALLATION (v6.0)

The following is a rough guide to uploading files to our server using CuteFTP program.

Please note that we do not support or recommend this program. This guide is designed as a rough guide to assist you in uploading to our servers.

STEP ONE

Select [Tools] then [Site Manager] then [Display Site Manager]
(or just press [F4])

or Click the Book type symbol thingy* on the left of the top menu..

STEP TWO

Select [New] then [FTP Site].

You can also click {CTRL N} but not when Site manager is open)

STEP THREE

Add the following

1. Label. Can be any it is just to give it a name.
2. FTP Host Address as per settings supplied from host-it.
3. FTP site Username as per settings supplied from host-it.
4. FTP Password as per settings supplied from host-it.

STEP FOUR

Select the [Type] tab then [Data connection type] then [Use PORT].

(This is to get the software to use Active FTP rather than passive FTP.)

STEP FIVE

Add the virtual FTP directory path (remote folder) to your site as per settings supplied from host-it.

Click the [Connect] button.

Note: This takes you a level above public access (for most sites). To connect directly to your local web folder just add '/web' to the end of the remote folder address (ie: www.mydomain.com/web).

STEP SIX

Connected screen.

That's it!
